Alcineo

Rosso Toscano IGT

Alcineo is a name created by Elia Loia, inspired by her beloved home of Montalcino.

This wine is truly as unique as its name, a genuine reflection of her passion for the art of winemaking.

The grapes are also Sangiovese Grosso, well cared for and handpicked as with Brunello and Rosso.

It is vinificated in the same fashion as Brunello. As soon as it turns to wine, it is put in French barriques, (225 liter oak casks) where it begins its maturation of 15-18 months.

It has a rich, lush ruby color, revealing its harmony of cherry and raspberry notes with a medium soft and tannic finish.

Grappa di Brunello riserva

Our “Grappa di Brunello” is obtained from the fresh, lightly pressed marc that provides us with our Brunello. It is delivered within 48 hours to the distillery.

It is distilled with an alembic by bain-marie and indirect steam (discontinuous method) that allows it to maintain the organoleptic characteristics (42% vol.) of the original vines.

This Grappa di Brunello is produced in the same way as our other grappa yet it gets placed immediately in our Brunello barriques and remains there to age for about a year. As a result it has a beautiful caramel color, with a more refined and smoother tannic taste, reminiscent of roasted chestnuts.

Grappa di Brunello

Our “Grappa di Brunello” is obtained from the fresh, lightly pressed marc that provides us with our Brunello. It is delivered within 48 hours to the distillery.

It is distilled with an alembic by bain-marie and indirect steam (discontinuous method) that allows it to maintain the organoleptic characteristics (42% vol.) of the original wines.

This grappa is crystal clear in color, with an intense perfume reminiscent of violets yet differentiated by a hint of vanilla.

A taste that is truly vigorous and persistent, without being overly aggressive.

Olio Extra Vergine di Oliva

Coming from the olive trees of our estate, located on the highest part of the property and dominated, are grown the most more traditional Tuscan varieties: "Frantoio", "Moraiolo" and "Leccino".

At the beginning of November, the olives are picked by hand and cold pressed within 48 hours, to provide for maximum freshness and quality.

The cold press process is the most more natural and traditional method, that guarantees the purest and tastiest oil, ensuring that all monounsaturated fats, antioxidants and vitamins remain intact.

In this traditional method, the olives are crushed and pressed without any use of chemicals, maintaining the temperature at about 28 °.

Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil is rich and light. It has a delicate but intense, with a extremely low acidity rate, and will truly enhance any type of cuisine, from the most rustic to the most refined.

It is excellent drizzled atop bruschetta or even more simply with a slice of good fresh bread.

A perfect dressing for salads, soups, meat and fish. To best preserve the quality of the olive oil, we recommend to store in a cool, dark place, away from any sources of heat.
